Later this year, we expect to see Apple announcing successor to the iPad Air. Unsurprisingly, that device has already been leaked and you can see it on the image above.

Brought to us by Nowhereelse.fr’s Steve Hemmerstoffer, the image shows the still unannounced iPad that has the silver ring around the home button. Yup, it will come with Apple’s Touch ID fingerprint scanner, making it that much more appealing for the enterprise and government customers, and just about everyone else looking to benefit from the extra dose of security. Or to pay his bills with nothing but his/her fingerprint.

In addition, the next iPad will also rock a faster A8 chip and feature an 8-megapixel camera on the back, an upgrade from iPad Air’s 5-megapixel camera. The screen size and resolution will reportedly stay the same.

It’s likely this isn’t the last time we’ll hear about the iPad Air 2; as soon as we get something new on this, we’ll get back to you.
