BlackBerry seems to like HTC’s idea to cram two cameras on a phone and may be working on something similar as we speak.
Digging through the BlackBerry OS 10.3 files, CrackBerry has once again caught the traces of the still unannounced Porsche Design P’9983 or as it’s referred to in the OS, the BlackBerry Khan. For those looking into these sort of things, the last Porsche Design device, P’9982, was known as BlackBerry King.
What makes the Khan different than any other BlackBerry announced so far is the fact that it may sport a dual camera setup a la HTC One. This in turn could enable some funky camera effects, including the ability to focus an image after the photo is taken.
It would be interesting to see such BlackBerry device, but at this point we’re not sure whether something like that is really on radar. The Canadian company is now more focused on its enterprise clientele which seems to be demanding other things, like QWERTY keyboards. Then again, physical keyboards don’t necessarily exclude dual cameras. Not sure why Porsche’s expertise is needed to have a better camera capabilities, though.
We’ll be watching this space and let you know as soon as we hear something new on this. Meanwhile, feel free to share your thoughts – what do you think about a BlackBerry phone with dual camera setup? Is that something you would consider buying?
