Meizu is teasing the world with its “Stunning New OS” on Facebook. The Chinese company is preparing to launch both its latest flagship device, Meizu MX4, as well as a new version of its Flyme OS, which runs on top of Android. From what we can tell, the Flyme 4.0 will borrow a thing or two from Apple’s handbook, most likely sporting a cleaner design with flat icons that are all the rage these days.
Flyme OS aside, Meizu should also unveil the world’s first Ubuntu-powered smartphone that would add a new level of convergence, allowing us to use one device for all our needs. Chances are this will be a special version of the MX4 though you never know.
For those uninitiated, Meizu came to prominence after launching the first awesome looking iPhone clone. In the following years, the company found its way to differentiate its product from Apple’s smartphone and is now considered a vendor that makes original devices.
Recently we’ve heard that Meizu has managed to attract a big investment to make its devices better, and consequently – move more of them to users all around the world.
