Asus PadFone X mini coming to AT&T?

Looks like the Asus PadFone X won’t be the last PadFone AT&T will offer. A smaller version of the device has been caught at the FCC and it has all the right radios to sing along AT&T’s 3G and 4G networks.

As that’s usually the case, the FCC’s listing is everything but revealing. We do know what the “regular PadFone Mini” is all about, though. Its phone “part” has a 4.3-inch screen, while the tablet shell rocks a 7-inch display. Perhaps AT&T gets a slightly tweaked model? We can’t really tell at the moment.

What we can tell is that we love the whole PadFone concept and would love to see more companies launching similar products. Moreover, we would want to get that keyboard dock back. For some reason, the Taiwanese company dumped the idea after the original PadFone. With keyboard dock, PadFone owners effectively have three devices – a phone, a tablet and a laptop.

Anyway, Asus is set to hold a press event on September 3rd when we may get all the missing details. Stay tuned as we bring you more…
