The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 uses Qualcomm’s FastConnect system to deliver Wi-Fi 7 speeds up to 5.8 Gbps with channel widths reaching 320 MHz. These speeds rival what you’d find in high-end phones, giving mid-range users access to blazing-fast internet connections when paired with compatible routers.
Bluetooth 6.0 brings its own advantages, particularly through the Channel Sounding feature. This technology allows users to locate connected devices like wireless headphones or smartwatches, addressing one of the most common frustrations with Bluetooth accessories.
The new processor extends beyond wireless improvements. Qualcomm has added several camera and gaming features that were previously reserved for premium devices:

Qualcomm also introduced the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, targeting the budget smartphone market. This processor delivers 77% improved GPU performance and enables 90FPS gaming on the Snapdragon 4 series for the first time, pushing high-performance gaming further down the price spectrum.
The company hasn’t revealed which smartphone manufacturers will use these processors or provided pricing details. However, given the mid-range positioning, devices powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 should remain competitively priced while offering features that were exclusive to premium phones just a few years ago.
