iQOO has expanded its gaming-focused device lineup with the new iQOO Pad 6 Pro, targeting mobile gamers who want flagship performance in tablet form. The company announced the device alongside the iQOO 15T smartphone in China, positioning both products as premium gaming hardware.

The tablet runs on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor paired with iQOO’s proprietary Monster over-core engine for enhanced gaming performance. This combination addresses the growing demand for high-performance mobile gaming devices as smartphone games become more graphically intensive and console-quality titles arrive on mobile platforms.

The iQOO Pad 6 Pro features a 13.2-inch 4K display with 144Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. The high refresh rate is particularly important for competitive mobile gaming, where smooth visuals can provide a competitive advantage. iQOO claims the tablet supports 13 native 4K games, though the company hasn’t specified which titles are included.

To handle the thermal demands of intensive gaming, the tablet uses a VC three-dimensional cooling system. A large 13,000mAh battery provides the power needed for extended gaming sessions. These specifications put the Pad 6 Pro in direct competition with gaming-focused tablets from other manufacturers like Xiaomi and Lenovo.

Gaming-specific software features include:

  • Game super-resolution technology
  • Super-frame enhancement for smoother gameplay
  • Improved touch response for faster input recognition
  • 4K gameplay screenshot and screen recording capabilities

The software experience runs on OriginOS 6 HD, which includes productivity tools that could appeal to users beyond just gamers. The system includes the Vivo office suite, lossless file transfer, XiaoV memory, Atomic Notes, and Atomic Workbench. iQOO also claims PC-level application support, which could make the tablet useful for work tasks and multitasking.

The gaming tablet market has grown significantly as mobile games become more sophisticated and users seek larger screens for better experiences. Premium tablets with gaming features represent a key battleground for Chinese manufacturers looking to differentiate their products in an increasingly competitive market.

The iQOO Pad 6 Pro launches in China with four configuration options:

  • 8GB + 256GB: 4,299 yuan (introductory price)
  • 12GB + 256GB: 4,499 yuan
  • 12GB + 512GB: 4,999 yuan
  • 16GB + 512GB: 5,999 yuan

The tablet comes in three colors: Isle of Man, Silver Wing, and Gray Crystal. No international availability has been announced yet, which is typical for iQOO’s initial product launches that usually start in the Chinese market before expanding globally.
