Asus has returned to the smartwatch market with the VivoWatch 6 Plus, a premium wearable that combines high-end materials with comprehensive health monitoring. The company unveiled the device at Computex 2026, marking its latest entry into the competitive wearables space.

The VivoWatch 6 Plus represents Asus’s continued push into health-focused wearables, building on the success of previous models in the series. This launch comes as the smartwatch market increasingly emphasizes premium materials and advanced health features, with consumers demanding more sophisticated monitoring capabilities from their wearables.

The new smartwatch features a 1.43-inch AMOLED display protected by sapphire crystal glass, housed within a titanium alloy case. This combination of materials places the device firmly in the premium segment, competing with high-end offerings from Apple, Samsung, and Garmin. The titanium construction provides durability while keeping weight down, a crucial factor for all-day wear.

Health monitoring capabilities form the core of the VivoWatch 6 Plus’s appeal. The device offers continuous health tracking alongside specialized features including:

  • ECG monitoring for heart rhythm analysis
  • Blood pressure measurement capabilities
  • Sleep breathing movement analysis
  • Gait analysis for movement assessment
  • Body composition monitoring

These features reflect the growing trend toward medical-grade health monitoring in consumer wearables. As users become more health-conscious and seek detailed insights into their wellbeing, manufacturers are responding with increasingly sophisticated sensors and algorithms.

The VivoWatch 6 Plus builds on Asus’s previous smartwatch efforts, which began with the original VivoWatch 6 in June 2024. That device introduced blood pressure and ECG monitoring to the series, while the subsequent VivoWatch 6 Aero adopted a more fitness tracker-style form factor. The new Plus model appears to combine elements from both approaches, offering multiple variants to suit different user preferences.

Asus hasn’t revealed pricing or specific availability dates for the VivoWatch 6 Plus yet. However, the premium materials and advanced health features suggest it will compete in the higher end of the smartwatch market. The device also carries IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for various activities and environments.

The launch timing aligns with Asus’s broader product refresh at Computex 2026, where the company also introduced new laptops, mini PCs, and other devices. This suggests the VivoWatch 6 Plus is part of a coordinated effort to strengthen Asus’s presence across multiple tech categories, rather than a standalone wearables push.

For the smartwatch market, the VivoWatch 6 Plus represents another step toward premium health-focused devices. As the wearables space matures, manufacturers are differentiating through materials, specialized health features, and comprehensive monitoring capabilities rather than basic fitness tracking alone.
