Motorola has a new premium Android tablet on the market, and it’s aimed squarely at people who want to use a tablet for work, creative projects, and entertainment without buying a separate stylus. The Moto Pad 70 Pro launched in India on June 27, 2026, with the Moto Pen Pro stylus included in the box.
The tablet market in India has grown steadily over the past two years, with buyers increasingly looking for devices that can replace a laptop for everyday tasks. Motorola is positioning the Pad 70 Pro directly in that space, pricing it between Rs 36,999 and Rs 39,999, which works out to roughly $390 to $420 depending on storage.
That price puts it in competition with mid-range iPads and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab A series. What sets it apart, at least on paper, is the combination of a high-end chipset, a large high-refresh-rate display, and four years of promised software support.
Display and audio: the specs that stand out
The Pad 70 Pro has a 13-inch display with a 3.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It supports Dolby Vision, 12-bit color depth, and peaks at 800 nits of brightness. For a tablet in this price range, those numbers are competitive.
Audio is handled by four JBL-tuned speakers with Dolby Atmos support. That’s a combination you’d typically expect on devices costing significantly more.
Performance and long-term software support
The tablet runs on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, paired with 8GB of RAM. Motorola claims an AnTuTu benchmark score of over 2.5 million and says the device can handle games at up to 120fps. Storage options are 128GB or 256GB, and both support microSD cards up to 2TB.
It ships with Android 16 and is confirmed to receive updates through Android 18, with security patches guaranteed until 2030. For buyers who’ve been burned by short software support windows on Android tablets, that’s a meaningful commitment.
Battery, cameras, and connectivity
The 10,200mAh battery is large even by tablet standards. Motorola includes a 68W charger in the box, and the tablet supports 45W fast charging. A rear 13MP camera and an 8MP front camera round out the basics.
On the connectivity side, the Pad 70 Pro has:
- Wi-Fi 7
- Bluetooth 6.0
- MicroSD card slot for storage expansion
The full-metal body measures 6.2mm thin and weighs 589g.
Stylus and AI features
The Moto Pen Pro ships in the box, which is worth noting since most tablet makers sell styluses separately. The stylus works with a set of AI-powered tools built into the software:
- Smart Capture
- Sketch to Image
- AI Super Res
- AI Live Transcript
- AI Notes
- Smarter Reader
There’s also a snap-on keyboard available as an optional accessory. It adds a touchpad and a dedicated Smart Key for keyboard shortcuts. Motorola bundles the keyboard with the 256GB model for Rs 45,999 (around $485), or it can be purchased separately for Rs 5,999 when bought alongside the tablet.
Price, availability, and launch offers
Sales start on July 4 through Flipkart, Motorola India’s website, and physical retail stores across India. The pricing breaks down as follows:
