Samsung pushes One UI 9 beta 3 to the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7

Bug fix updates are never the flashy ones, but they matter. Samsung has rolled out the third One UI 9.0 beta for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, and if you were hoping for new features, this isn’t your update. But that’s actually fine, because a beta program that’s fixing bugs at a steady pace is a beta program that’s heading in the right direction.

According to SamMobile, the update is currently available in India and South Korea. The download weighs in at around 538MB, which is a reasonable size for a bug-fix-only release. Notably, it does not include the September 2026 security patch, so don’t confuse this with a full monthly update.

The firmware versions vary by region. In India, the Z Flip 7 is getting F766BXXUCZZIF while the Z Fold 7 gets F966BXXUCZZIF. South Korea users will see F766NKSUCZZIF on the Flip 7 and F966NKSUCZZIF on the Fold 7. Not the most exciting details in the world, but useful if you want to confirm you got the right build.

Here’s the quick timeline so far:

  • Beta 1 dropped two weeks ago
  • Beta 2 arrived one week later
  • Beta 3 is here now, one week after that

That’s a consistent weekly cadence, which is actually encouraging. Samsung has historically been hit or miss with beta pacing, so keeping things on schedule suggests the One UI 9 rollout is running smoothly. One UI 9 is built on Android 17, and Samsung is clearly moving fast to get a stable build ready for both foldables ahead of a wider release.

If you’re enrolled in the One UI 9.0 Beta Program, checking for the update is simple. Open Settings, tap Software update, then hit Check for updates. That’s it. And if you’re based in the US or UK, hold tight. Samsung is expected to push this update to more countries soon, so it probably won’t be long before it shows up on your device too.

So no, beta 3 isn’t exciting on paper. But a clean, stable One UI 9 launch matters a lot more than a flashy mid-beta feature drop. Samsung knows that. This is them doing the boring work right.
