Thirty dollars for a smartwatch with an AMOLED display and a zinc alloy frame. That’s not a typo. Lenovo just launched the Watch Fit 3 in China at 199 yuan, and at that price, the spec sheet is genuinely hard to ignore.
The headline feature is the 1.96-inch AMOLED panel running at 410 x 502 pixels. That’s a noticeably bigger screen than what Lenovo put on the Watch S and the 2024 Lenovo Watch, both of which used 1.43-inch displays. More screen real estate means more room for watch faces, workout stats, and incoming notifications without squinting. It’s protected by 2.5D curved tempered glass, which is a nice touch at this price.
Build quality looks respectable too. The frame is electroplated zinc alloy, the buttons are oxidized aluminum alloy, and the back cover uses an IML electroplating process. The watch measures 47 x 39.8 x 9.9 mm and carries an IP68 rating, so rain and splashes aren’t a problem. A silicone strap comes in the box.
On the tracking side, you get over 50 sports modes powered by the GOMORE sports algorithm, covering running, cycling, and ball games. Health monitoring includes resting heart rate, blood oxygen, and sleep tracking. There’s also a reminder system that nudges you to move, drink water, take medication, and rest your eyes. The product page also mentions an AI simultaneous interpretation feature with voice playback, though that one needs more real-world testing before anyone should get excited about it.
- 1.96-inch AMOLED display, 410 x 502 pixels
- IP68 dust and water resistance
- 50+ sports modes with GOMORE algorithm
- Heart rate, SpO2, and sleep tracking
- Offline payments via WeChat and Alipay
- Bluetooth calling and music control
- 390mAh battery, up to 9 days of use
Daily use features include offline payments through WeChat and Alipay, Bluetooth calling from your wrist, and music playback controls. The 390mAh battery is rated for six days of normal use or nine days if you’re lighter on the features. A full charge takes around 2.5 hours, which is reasonable.
So why does this matter? Budget wearables have been getting serious hardware upgrades over the past couple of years, and the Watch Fit 3 is part of that trend. Brands like Xiaomi and Huawei have been pushing solid specs at low prices in China, and Lenovo is clearly playing that same game. The problem is this launch is currently China-only, with no word on a global release. For buyers outside China, that’s frustrating, because $30 for this kind of spec sheet would be a strong option in almost any market.
