Samsung Week 2026 is mostly a sales event with a lot of AI sprinkled on top

Samsung’s biggest yearly sale now comes with a theme that sounds like a fridge magnet: “Discover New Ways to Live Smarter.” Cheesy, sure. But the actual deals are worth a look if you’ve been eyeing a foldable.

Samsung announced that Samsung Week 2026 runs from October 12 to November 1 across 63 countries. It’s the seventh year of the event, which Samsung uses to mark its founding. Most of the action happens on Samsung.com.

The deals that matter

The headline perk is a six-month Google AI Pro subscription with the new Galaxy Z series, Galaxy S26 FE or Galaxy Tab S12 series. That’s a nice freebie. Just watch the fine print, because Google One charges £18.99 a month once the trial ends. Set a reminder or you’re paying for it.

Samsung Rewards Points also stretch further. You can spend them on devices and accessories, plus Galaxy Store, Samsung Art Store and Samsung Food. Trade-in options and Samsung Care+ are easy to reach too.

Then there are the colors. Samsung.com gets exclusives: Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra in Green Shadow, Galaxy Z Fold8 in Pistachio and Galaxy Z Flip8 in Mint. I like that. Color exclusives are a cheap trick, but a good one, because nobody wants another black slab.

Personalized recommendations, with a catch

Samsung will suggest products based on devices registered to your Samsung Account. Own a Galaxy phone? Expect pushes toward Bespoke AI appliances via SmartThings or a Galaxy Watch tied to Samsung Health. It’s handy, but it’s also Samsung nudging you deeper into its ecosystem. And you only get these suggestions if you’ve agreed to marketing and cookies.

The AI pitch

Samsung’s “smarter life” story covers work, health, cooking and entertainment. A few highlights:

  • Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra with Multi Window and a Smart Monitor for working anywhere
  • Galaxy Watch Ultra2, Galaxy S26 Ultra and Galaxy Buds4 Pro for workouts and health tracking
  • Bespoke AI Refrigerator, Oven and a Galaxy Z Fold8 for recipes and automated cooking
  • Micro RGB TV, soundbars and the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo for the living room and laundry

Some of this is useful. A big foldable screen for multitasking makes sense. A phone telling your oven what to do? Still feels like a stretch for most people.

Why it matters

Samsung is betting that AI features, bundled services and exclusive finishes will sell hardware as phone upgrades slow down. The giant billboards in Times Square and Piccadilly Circus show how hard it’s pushing. My advice: grab the deal if you were buying anyway, and ignore the buzzwords. Details vary by country, so check your local Samsung page first.
