Is it a sign of times or what, when we have an app that started its life on Symbian being ported (most likely being re-coded from the ground up) to the Android platform? The app is AutoProfiles and as you can guess, it allows Android smartphone users to dynamically change their profile throughout the day.
For instance, folks that have daily meetings, can use the app to automatically switch to an appropriate profile at a pre-defined time every day. Other example could be setting the “Nap” mode, for those of you who dig the idea of taking daily naps.
AutoProfiles comes with four predefined profiles: General, Silent, Meeting and Loud, but you can also define your profiles with each of them having unique settings.
In a nutshell, this isn’t the app for everyone. But those who need it, won’t hesitate pouring out 2.99 EUR to grab AutoProfiles, or at least me thinks so. If you’re in that group, search for “autoprofiles” in the Android Market and take it from there…
