After releasing few titles for the iPhone/iPod Touch, Korean publisher Gamevil is looking towards Android users for growth. That said, they’ve launched Baseball Superstars 2010 for all the users with smartphones running Google’s mobile OS.
Personally I’m not a big fan of baseball, but with the first Superstars game hitting the Android Market, I’ve no doubts other “Superstars” titles will follow shortly, but I digress…
The game works on devices with HVGA and WVGA displays and the only requirement is that your phone runs Android 1.5 or above. In other words, the majority of today’s smartphones will work, including the coolest kids on the block like the Samsung Galaxy S, HTC Evo 4G, Droid X and Sony Ericsson Xperia X10.
What I don’t completely understand is the price. Gamevil asks $5.99 for the Android game which is a buck more than the iPhone version. I guess it’s a matter of competition — with so many games available in the Apple AppStore, they need to be affordable in order to get people to buy their games…
And before I let you go to search for “Baseball Superstars” in the Android Market, check out a short video below demoing the game in action. Enjoy!
