HTC EVO 4G Gets Software Update Over The Air, Sadly Not Froyo

When we heard there was an update going out for Sprint’s HTC EVO 4G, there was a very brief and fleeting moment of, “Froyo?!” Of course not, don’t be silly. However, there is an update that EVO users can download OTA. It’s called System Upgrade 1.47.651.1 and it’s just a measly 21.43MB file so it’s certainly not anything major. It’s likely bug fixes, and according to rumors, Wi-Fi fixes, but we’re sure the majority of you are hoping that this update will triple your battery life to a whopping eight hours of use! Seriously, though, the battery problem needs to be solved ASAP.
