
Provider of mobile convergence solutions Mavenir Systems announced that it has secured $13.6 million in its fourth round of funding, bringing the total amount of money raised to $65 million since October 2005. Investors included North Bridge Venture Partners, Austin Ventures, Alloy Ventures, Greenspring Associates and Cisco.
The company will use the new money to “to further scale our operations to reach more Tier 1 mobile operators globally.” Its recent clients include MetroPCS and Cellcom in the USA, and Viettel in Vietnam.
Mavenir Systems is recognized as an innovative leader in the Mobile IMS market by industry analyst firm Infonetics Research. It’s headquartered in Richardson, Texas, and also has facilities in India, China and Europe.
Commenting on the new money raised, Mavenir’s President and CEO, Pardeep Kohli, said: “The opportunity for network transformation is upon us. Our core network innovations power mobile cloud services today. The funding we’re receiving from our investors is indicative of our strong customer traction, confidence in our solution offering and ability to deliver.”
