Could HTC have another smartphone waiting in the wings? Well, if the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) is on the money (and we have no reason to really think otherwise), then HTC’s newest codename seems to be “Kii.” We love the codenames coming out of the Taiwanese manufacturer’s labs – just where do they get these names?
Anyway, the Bluetooth SIG isn’t really good for any type of leaked information other than what kind of Bluetooth spec a phone is going to rock. So all we can tell you is that the HTC Kii will be packing Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR. But, Arne over at the::unwired seems to think that the HTC Kii could possibly be the Vodafone 920. It makes sense, seeing as how the Vodafone 920 is rumored to be made by HTC and will be running HTC’s favorite OS – Windows Mobile. Could the next HTC smartphone be this quad-band GSM (EDGE), tri-band UMTS (HSDPA), Windows Mobile monster? We sure hope so.
More details as they emerge.
