
We applaud British Gas for being so high tech, supporting the latest mobile technologies. The company has updated its iPhone app to make it even easier for customers to keep track of their energy bills, monitor their energy use over time and submit meter readings to avoid estimated bills.
British Gas has already seen its iPhone app downloaded by almost 100,000 customers, most of which will more likely than not update to the new version. During the month of June, 18,000 meter readings were submitted by through the iPhone, iPod or iPad.
New in version 2 is the ability to view account balance, last bill amount, when payment is due, along with graphs of one’s personal energy consumption of the past 24 months. There’s also an option to email British Gas questions and resolve queries.
