Samsung moves 500,000 Galaxy S units in over a month in South Korea

Samsung is well on its way to hit the 10 million Galaxy S units sold this year. In its own backyard, the company managed to move half a million devices in just over a month — 33 days to be more precise. The news comes on the heels of our previous posts when we talked about how Korean giant managed to sell 100,000 units after just six days, 200,000 after 10 days and 300,000 devices after 19 days of the launch.

By now, you’re probably aware that the Samsung Galaxy S is one of the most serious contenders to the “iPhone killer” title. It rocks that gorgeous 4-inch Super AMOLED WVGA (480×800 pixels) capacitive touchscreen, 5-megapixel camera with flash and auto-focus, HSPA and WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0, enough memory (2-16 GB of built-in storage, depending on the version) that is further expandable with microSD memory cards.
