Nokia N900 gets a great mobile office suite

After conquering virtually every smartphone platform out there, DataViz is bringing its popular mobile office suite to the Meamo platform. Yap, that means the Nokia N900 finally got a decent Word and Excel file (document and spreadsheet) editor.

Virtually all Microsoft Office files are supported, including Office 2007 and 2010, and thanks to DataViz’s InTact technology, your documents will keep the original formatting. There is also support for password-protected documents (Word and Excel 97-2008 files), as well as quick keyboard shortcuts for popular actions like undo, redo, copy and paste for faster work. Finally, DataViz also said that PowerPoint support is in the development pipe and will be available soon.

Documents To Go Premium Edition requires the recently released N900 OS update, version 1.2, and if that’s set – you’re ready to go. The application costs $29.99, while Documents To Go Viewer Edition remains available for $9.99.

Hopefully, DataViz will continue its support to the evolving platform and soon enough we’ll see them releasing Documents To Go for MeeGo…
