Nuance Communications has recently updated its Dragon Dictation app for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The newly released application, Dragon Dictation 2.0, is made to sing along iOS 4, making it easier to dictate messages and status updates on social networks.
Using a new pop-up toolbar, you can speak a status update and then send it to Twitter, Facebook, text messaging app or the clipboard. There’s also the auto-save feature that automatically saves dictated text when the app is interrupted by an in-coming phone call.
At the moment, Dragon Dictation 2.0 supports U.S. and U.K. English, and the plan is to include support for more languages in due course. From what we’re heard, German is next in line to get supported by the app with more languages to follow.
