TELUS Motorola Milestone users… heads up! There’s a minor software update available for you right now, that is, if you haven’t updated already. Besides the usual batch of bug fixes and stability enhancements, this minor update to Android 2.1 on your Milestone includes:
- Alarm Improvements
- Music Player Functionality
- Audio Quality Enhancement
- PIN Lock Improvements
- Proximity Mode Enhancement
- “My Location” Improvements
To get started, you can download the update OTA, or head on over to the Motorola website to download the update via your desktop computer.
While this is good and all, what I really would like to know is if Android 2.2 is coming down the pipe for the TELUS Motorola Milestone. I know I’ve been asked by more than one friend/colleague if it was coming… and If we can learn anything from the situation, it’s that Motorola likes to take their sweet time when it comes to releasing official updates. So, if you’re thinking of waiting it out for 2.2, I hope you don’t mind waiting awhile. You might as well install this update, grin, and bear it for awhile. Either that, or root your Milestone and install 2.2 for yourself 🙂
P.S. If you’re on a Motorola DROID in the U.S… you may want to read this.
