NAVIGON is celebrating its first anniversary in the Apple App Store with a 50% sale that starts today, August 12th, and ends on the 15th. NAVIGON has been in the business of navigation for 19 years and is the developer of MobileNavigator, one of the top third-party mobile navigation solutions for the iPhone and iOS devices. MobileNavigator may be familiar to many as it first debuted on the PocketPC and has appeared more recently on the Android platform.

The 50% sale applies to the iPhone version only and includes all of NAVIGON’s North American titles and most map versions for other countries. Additionally, in-app purchases of the Traffic Live and Panorama View 3D add-ons are also discounted in half. Pricing  for the limited time sale are as follows:

  • MobileNavigator North America (includes maps for Canada & US): $39.99 instead of $79.99
  • MobileNavigator USA: $24.99 instead of $49.99
  • MobileNavigator Canada: $29.99 instead of $59.99
  • MobileNavigator US MyRegion East, Central or West: $14.99 instead of $29.99, additional regions $11.99 instead of $14.99.
  • In App Purchase of Traffic Live: $12.99 instead of $24.99
  • In App Purchase of Panorama View 3D: $4.99 instead of $9.99

MobileNavigator offers many features not present in the built-in Google Maps including turn-by-turn navigation, text-to-speech, photo-realistic and 3D views, live weather and traffic, Google Local search, and integration with popular social networks (Facebook and Twitter). Maps are also downloaded locally to the device so you can still navigate when a cellular or WiFi connection is not available.

The current 1.6.0 version of MobileNavigator is compatible with the iPhone 4, 3GS, and 3G and supports multi-tasking on iOS4-compatible devices. The original iPhone and iPod Touch are also supported when used with an external GPS device. If the high price tag was previously a deterrent to purchasing, now is the time to snag your first copy of MobileNavigator. Don’t delay as you have 3 days and counting to hit that “Buy Now” button.
