Don’t you just love Tata DOCOMO and their innovative services? The one-year old carrier has such cool offerings like pay-per-second charging, Voice Free plans, and there’s also the option to charge users by the number of letter they text.
Now they’re going one step forward with the launch of “Pay per Site,” which they say is the “Industry First Value Added Service Initiative.” The pitch is simple – if you’re accessing only one or few sites on a regular basis, there’s no need to pay per kilobyte of data. You can get a special pack and save some cash along the way.
There are two combination packs available:
- Those only interested in a single website can pay Rs. 10 per site, while
- For those interested in multiple sites, there are combo packs that start at just Rs. 25 per month. Customers can pick from various categories of social networking sites (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Orkut), mail options (Gmail, Yahoo, Rediff) and chat messengers (GTalk, Yahoo Messenger, Nimbuzz).
To activate the services, users can either Dial *141#, send an SMS with the keyword “MY SITE” to 141 and follow further instructions, or visit Tata DOCOMO Dive-in zone on mobile. Alternatively, you can activate the “Pay per Site” service through Tata DOCOMO website by clicking on the same-named link… Love the idea! 🙂
