Motorola DROID makes its re-appearance on Verizon’s website

Good news, the original Motorola DROID is back on sale with Verizon Wireless! After its recent removal from Verizon’s online website, the Android handset is making a surprise encore appearance. The reasons for its re-appearance are unknown but one could speculate that Verizon may have discovered some remaining inventory sitting in warehouses or maybe even pulled these units from stores following the DROID 2 launch. In the end we don’t really need to know why it returned, we are just happy to see it back in its familiar place on Verizon’s website.

If you missed the Nexus One exodus and want to buy a piece of Android history, now is the time to buy the DROID before it disappears again from Verizon’s website. Once it is gone, it most likely won’t be resurrected a second time. This now classic handset is priced for the die-hards as it sports a rather pricey with a $149 price tag after a $100 mail-in rebate and with a two-year agreement. With the exception of these enthusiastic collectors, we are not sure who would pick up this now previous generation handset at this inflated price, especially when you can snag a DROID 2 for a mere $50 more.
