I’m not sure is “Slate unveiling an iPad app” actually a news or not, but I just found out about it and I believe it deserves some space on our site. I love Slate (especially their podcasts), hence I can support them by giving them some (free) space on IntoMobile – and that’s exactly what I’m doing. 🙂
Using their free to download application, you can access such things as:
- Slate’s articles and blog posts with their “insightful takes on politics and culture”
- Get updates on breaking news from “The Slatest” news aggregator
- Listen to Slate’s popular podcasts
- Watch “groundbreaking videos”
Of course, you can share favorite stories with friends and/or colleagues via Facebook, Twitter or e-mail.
Slate suggests using their app in such instances as long commutes, airplane flights, doctor’s waiting rooms, boring lectures, jury duty, lunchtime, wisdom teeth extraction, and 3 a.m. insomnia, when you don’t want to turn on the light and wake the person next to you. I suggest using any mobile app in those cases. 🙂
