MyCoupons is getting its Android application, allowing owners of the smartphones running Google’s mobile OS to access MyCoupons’ extensive database of coupon codes, promo codes and discounts while on the go.
The news comes on the heels of the recently revamped MyCoupons’ website which is now easier to use. Moreover, there are now more deals available than ever before – 30,449 active coupons, 8,113 active partner merchants and 148,726 active merchants.
The Android app — which BTW is available as a free download from the Android Market — takes advantage of the built-in GPS receiver, enabling users to quickly access local coupons based on their current location. Once you find a coupon you like, you can show it to the local merchant for redeem. Obviously, each coupon has an offer ID on it, to ensure its validity.
Commenting on the new app launch, Jason Wolfe (Founder and CEO of Wolfe.com – MyCoupons’ parent company) said: “The enhancements to MyCoupons and the release of our MyCoupons Droid App continue to prove that Wolfe.com is the leader in rewards, loyalty, prepaid, gifting and coupons online.”
