The elusive BlackBerry 9780 has shown up in white, happily running OS 6. From what we’ve seen, the Bold 9780 will be a refreshed version of the 9700 with a 5 megapixel camera, and 512 MB of application memory. The 624 Mhz processor, Wi-Fi, GPS, and 3G are all the same as the original. Odds are good that we’ll see this sucker in October, but often the extra colors don’t come out until after launch. Vodafone and AT&T are likely candidates for the BlackBerry 9780, though if the Torch didn’t attract customers to the platform, an even smaller incremental upgrade is unlikely to do the job.
