It’s like they don’t already have an extensive case portfolio, case-mate is teaming-up with Pong — which makes technology that protects users of wireless devices from the potentially harmful effects of radiation exposure — to make even more cases. As a result of this collaboration a whole series of the so called “Bounce” cases will be introduced to the world at some point in early Q4.

We don’t have all the details (like which mobile phone models will get the cases initially), but we did hear the upcoming product(s) will be impact resistant, featuring a sleek design and will be available for $49.99.

Back to Pong’s technology. Apparently, even the FCC folks have tested Pong’s stuff, concluding that this technology redirect away from the user at least 60% of “normal” cell phone radiation and 85% of “hot spot” radiation while maintaining full signal strength… So if you like the idea, make a reminder to visit case-mate’s website later in the year.
