The day for Windows Phone 7 draws near, and nothing could be more proof of that than Amazon.de, the retailer’s German site, throwing up the LG Optimus 7 page for all to see. Well, it could be the Optimus 7 we’ve already seen or another Windows Phone 7 powered device, the E900. Which one is it?
At least we know it’s packing a 5-megapixel camera, will set you back €499 ($673 US) and it’s sporting a 3.5-inch touch screen display. For now, there isn’t a lot to be said about the phone other than what can be spotted on the Amazon.de website. Otherwise, it’s just a few more weeks until the October 21 launch for Windows Phone 7 in Europe, and November for the rest of us in the States.
Hopefully LG’s new Optimus line will deliver and save the company from forever being relegated to the low-end market. It’s tough to see LG pulling ahead or even on par with the big boys like Apple, Google, or HTC in the high-end smartphone market, but maybe Windows Phone 7 is just what it needs.
