Amazon will not be the only company with an ebook reading app for the upcoming BlackBerry PlayBook. Wattpad, which is the social ebook community that’s also known as “YouTube for ebooks,” wants its slice of the action, too.
Wattpad’s free app is already available on multiple mobile platforms and has been downloaded an average of 1 million times per month. It’s the number one eReading app in the BlackBerry App World and among the top 100 apps overall. That said we’re pretty confident it will also be popular on the PlayBook (and other tablet devices for that matter).
