Good news for our Android device ownin’ readers who at the same time enjoy golf. Shotzoom Software’s Golfshot: Golf GPS, which is the No. 1 golf app on the iPhone, is “going Android.”

Just like its iCounterpart, Golfshot: Golf GPS on Android has the same GPS rangefinder and scoring capabilities. The application uses GPS to display yardages (List or Aerial view) to any point on a golf hole, acting as a distance rangefinder…

And to prove just how popular Golfshot is, we’re sharing an interesting figure – over 30 million holes of golf have been played using Golfshot since its release in July 2009. Impressive!

Golfshot GPS on Android is available in 12 languages. You can download it by searching for “golfshot” in the Android Market.

At the end, we have words of Shotzoom Software’s President, Craig Prichard – he said: “Adding the Android platform was a response to a significant number of customer requests. Golfshot members can now track and share rounds between iPhone and Android users.”
