HP has made a commitment to the Palm community and webOS fans since its acquisition of the smartphone maker, and it looks like it’s doing something special for developers, too. We recently got an e-mail that on November 20, there will be a webOS Developer Day in New York City. Any webOS developers in the audience ready to get schooled?
On November 19, the day before the event, there will be a pre-conference tutorial. Both days will be pretty intense for developers as they get thoroughly schooled on webOS development. I’ve also heard that there will be a focus on webOS 2.0 (as stated on the image in the e-mail we received) and that there may be free Palm devices given out to devs for their work. Bonus that HP will be helping developers market their apps.
It would be interesting to see what HP has up its sleeves for the future, along with what CTO Phil McKinney will be going over during the keynote. Either way, we’ll be sure to bring the goods once we get more info.
