North American travel expert Rand McNally is out with its free iPhone app Explore America, offering snippets of unique travel content, photos and videos, destination information, a daily quiz and more.
Once downloaded, users receive a Daily Adventure, which includes a description of an intriguing place in North America, a locator map, and up to five photos showing the location and things about the area. If that’s not enough for you, there’s an option to further “delve into the adventure” by accessing exclusive Rand McNally editorial content and sharing ratings, photos and content across popular social networks. Moreover, you will be able to access previously displayed adventures or destination information at any time.
As for the mentioned quiz, it comes on a daily basis, allowing users to have their high scores posted to a leaderboard.
Finally, you can input a trip request through the app to the Tripology service, which links would-be travelers with expert travel specialists.
