Shape Services released a new version of its popular multi-network instant messaging app – IM+. Version 4.4 brings several handy features including VoiceOver on incoming messages with instant playback without tapping and history saving in IM+ web at plus.im. In addition, the application now works better with large contact lists, there are few improvements in the user interface and the lock orientation is repaired for the iPhone. Finally, Shape is now offering extra wallpapers for download, allowing users to customize their IM+ experience.
And if you’re not sure what IM+ is all about, you should know it enables chatting with your friends across social and IM networks — including Skype, Yahoo!, MSN, ICQ, Jabber, Google Talk and so on. It’s one of those apps everyone should have installed on its iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad. Alternatively, there are other iOS apps that provide the same feature set such as Truphone, Fring and Nimbuzz.
