While HTC Kaiser TyTn II owners are enjoying the ability to surf any GSM network in the world, AT&T customers with a brand-new AT&T Tilt 8925 are stuck with the AT&T-flavored GSM network. Nevermind that HTC has been sued over the lack of a graphics hardware driver, a problem which also afflicts the HTC Kaiser TyTn II. HTC sells their mobile phones unlocked out of the box, but AT&T locked the GSM radio in their version of the HTC Kaiser – until now.
XDA-Developer forums user, jockyw2001, has posted instructions on how to fully unlock (SIM unlock) your AT&T Tilt 8925 to work on any GSM network in your country. And, if you need to travel abroad and your AT&T Tilt doesn’t like to play nice on foreign networks, jockyw2001 has posted instructions to make that happen as well (SuperCID).
Head on over to XDA-Developer forums to get your hands on the AT&T Tilt unlock and SuperCID solutions.
