The Samsung Galaxy Tab is nigh and Amazon already has the T-Mobile version of the Android tablet up for pre-order. Although if you aren’t terribly familiar with the pricing scheme and how the Galaxy Tab will be distributed, you might be hit with some sticker shock. If you want to pre-order from Amazon now, it’s going to set you back $699.99 unsubsidized.
The subsidized price for the Galaxy Tab on T-Mobile is still a hefty $399 compared to the base model Apple iPad which goes for $499. However, if you really want a smaller tablet and you’re hurting for Android despite the fact that it wasn’t designed for the tablet screen, the subsidized route might be the way to go.
