Opera Mini is the world’s most popular mobile browser, and for good reason, too. Back when I was still sporting a Nokia 6682 with its antiquated version of Symbian and the Helio Ocean, it was my mobile browser of choice. It was basically the only decent mobile browser before Safari came along. And now Opera Mini finds its way to T-Mobile for select phones.
According to Opera:
The phones that will be enabled with this feature are:
T-Mobile’s Nokia 2330, Nokia 2720, Nokia 3711, Nokia 5130, Sony Ericsson Equinox, Samsung T239, Samsung T659 and Nokia E73 Mode.
Owners of these phones will be able to download Opera Mini by visiting m.opera.com on the already-existing browser on their phone.
If you’re on the T-Mobile network and you’ve been feeling a little Android envy since it has access to decent WebKit browsers, and your phone is supported in the list above, go on and download Opera Mini. It will be like a big sigh of relief when you do and you learn exactly just how amazing it is to browse the web on your phone with a capable browser.
