Folks are starting to get antsy for Windows Phone 7 and its arrival at AT&T on Monday, so the carrier is making sure that its customers and soon-to-be customers are aware of the launch details. Yesterday, an AT&T representative said that pre-orders would not be available, but that the handsets would be available in AT&T retail stores and online on November 8 – launch day.

This morning, AT&T clarified those launch details by saying the new Windows Phone 7 handsets – the HTC Surround and Samsung Focus – would be available only in retail stores. The carrier also confirmed that pre-orders will not be available.

If you’re looking to pick up either of the new Windows Phone 7 handsets from AT&T, you want to act quickly on Monday since your only option will be to grab one from an AT&T retail store.
