With the v1.1.3 iPhone freshly jailbroken in a couple different ways, the only frontier left unexplored was the big, bad sim-unlock. We’re about to boldly go where no other iPhone has gone before.
The anySIM guys have bumped up their popular sim-unlock application (available through Installer.app) to v1.3. anySIM v1.3 will now unlock your v1.1.3 iPhone – with one caveat. You have to have the older Bootloader 3.9, if you have the Bootloader 4.6, you’re out of luck.
Again, only v1.1.3 iPhones with Bootloader v3.9 will work with anySIM v1.3. How do you know? Check your iPhone’s serial number. If the 3rd, 4th, and 5th numbers are less than 745 (mine is 724, for example), then chances are good that you have the 3.9 Bootloader. Those with 745 (the “7” is the year and the “45” is the week your iPhone was manufactured) should double check their Bootloader version.
Still not sure what Bootloader version you have? That’s okay.
- Fire up Installer.app
- Add “www.trejan.com/irepo” to your “Source” list – if you don’t know how, hit up our tutorial
- Install “Baseband Info”
- Fire up Baseband Info and it’ll tell you exactly what version Bootloader you’re running
Remember, only Bootloader v3.9 is unlockable with anySIM v1.3!
