A company called Miyowa scored a big contract with ZTE, which will pre-installed Miyowa’s IM and social networking clients on its phones. As a result, users will be able to cyber schmooze while on the go via Facebook and Twitter, as well as keep in touch with their buddies across IM networks such as Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk and Yahoo! Messenger.
Let’s face it – most of us expect to have access to social networking sites from our mobile phones these days and ZTE’s move goes in this direction.
Before I let you go, we’ll share the words of Ding Ning, who is a Vice General Manager of GSM & UMTS Handset Products at ZTE. He said: “ZTE has selected Miyowa’s InTouch5 clients for their advanced Social Network and IM features, combined with patented technology that optimizes battery consumption and protects operator bandwidth. We are confident that this deal will reinforce the global appeal of our devices to end-users and operators alike.”
There you have it folks – expect to see even the low-to-mid range ZTE devices shipping with social networking capabilities…
