AT&T Samsung Galaxy Tab

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is now available from AT&T, making it a full sweep across the major U.S wireless carriers. The Android tablet is an in-between device that hits the sweet spot between a 10-inch netbook or tablet device and a 4-inch smartphone. It includes a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, 7-inch display with 1024×600 resolution, 3-megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, and Android 2.2.

The Galaxy Tab is already available from T-Mobile, Sprint, U.S. Cellular, and Verizon Wireless. AT&T joins Verizon Wireless by offering the tablet device without a contract. The other carriers with the Samsung tablet in their lineup offer the mobile device with a lower, subsidized price and a two-year contract as well as the full retail, off-contract price.

While the other carriers are offering the Galaxy Tab for $599, AT&T will offer the Android tablet for a pricey $649. The Galaxy Tab is available on a per month prepaid plan including a $14.99 pay-as-you-go plan with 250 MB of usage and a $25 pay-as-you-go plan with up to 2 GB of usage.

We took a close look at this hot, new Android tablet when it first was announced in September. You can read our first impressions and check out our gallery full of images and videos here.
