You’ll have to excuse my ignorance when it comes to upcoming iPad launches… But as soon as the device launched in Canada, for some reason… I stopped caring as much as I used to 😛 In all honesty, as soon as the iPad launched in the US I stopped caring. I was down in the US shortly after launch, and I picked one up using Apple’s reservation system. The process went smoothly, an iPad was in-hand, and I was happy. The rest of the world and their supply?… Meh, I seemed to stop caring just a little bit from that point forward.
Bad, James. Bad!
With my ignorance fully disclosed, I was somewhat shocked to read that Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden are yet to get their iPad on. Apple and tech-lovers in this region of the world are going to have their smile on very soon, as Apple has already launched webpages featuring the ‘magical device’ for these countries.
Both WiFi and 3G models should be available at launch. Carriers Tre, TeliaSonera AB, Tele2 AB and Telenor ASA will all support Apple’s touchscreen tablet. However, unlike things stateside, these carriers will not be able to sell the iPad themselves… they’ll only provide the service.
Look for the official launch in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden to take place in time for the holiday season. Heck, we may even see some launch action later this month.
