We know not many of you care that bada 1.2 SDK is now in its final version, but we see it as important news, nevertheless. The reason is obvious – Samsung is one of the major handset makers and their bada-powered devices are selling in millions (though their Android devices are selling even more). That fact still doesn’t change the platform’s blurry prospects, but it may entice some developers to jump on board. After all, the Korean company has announced 6 bada smartphones to date, including the original Wave, Wave 525 (Wave 2), Wave 533 (Wave 2 Pro), Wave 575, and Wave 723 and Wave II.

If that counts for something in your book, proceed to this page to download the latest version of bada SDK and start flooding Samsung Apps with your creations.

And in case you wonder what’s new in this release, there’s the improved OpenGL/ES 1.1 and 1.2 Extension, Wi-Fi EAP support and memory leak detector.
