Verizon has cut the cost of its prepaid wireless service in half to handle the mounting pressure in this space but users may want to approach this with caution because the texting rates have doubled.
You’ll now be able to get Verizon prepaid wireless service for $1.99 a day, which is half of what voice access used to cost. This gives you unlimited voice calling for that day and users don’t have to activate this every day of the month.
Another Verizon prepaid wireless service option which costs 99 cents a day with unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling, with additional minutes costing 10 cents or 25 cents depending on which option you choose.
The prepaid market is booming, just ask MetroPCS – the company is now considered the fifth-largest U.S. carrier thanks to its no-contract, prepaid unlimited offerings. Boost Mobile has also been able to add multiple new customers to Sprint with its no-contract offerings.
