Page Plus Cellular’s $80 plan gives you 2,000 voice minutes for a year

It gotta be an increasing competition when we have [repaid provider Page Plus Cellular beefing-up its $80 for 120 days plan to extend the number of days you can use your minutes to 365 (or 366). That’s right – users can pay $80 and get 2,000 voice minutes to use whenever and however they want for a whole year. Unfortunately (or that’s “as expected”) neither data nor messaging services are included in the offer, meaning you’ll have to pay additional cents and dollars for every SMS sent and MB downloaded.

The carrier says that with the 50-cent monthly maintenance fee and per-minute charge of about 4 cents, users can talk an average of 166 minutes per month for $7. I guess that’s ideal for seniors, immigrant workers and those who *really* don’t dig technology. Some of us couldn’t even imagine how a day looks like without SMS… and we’re steadily spoiling ourselves with mobile data, too. 😉
