iPhone wielding hipsters rejoice, Instragram just released an update for their popular image sharing application that adds support for 7 languages (Japanese, German, Russian, French, Chinese, Italian, and Spanish), 2 new filters called “Sutro” and “Toaster”, and a “suggested users” feature that pairs you up with people who hang out in the same parts of town that you roam around while showing off your skinny jeans and new MacBook Air. There’s little else to comment on here, so just head on over to iTunes, grab the app, and start snapping away!

Do you use photo sharing applications or just wait until you get home to upload your pics to the net? That’s the category I belong to, and while that might make me boring compared to today’s constantly connected generation with their heads buried in their iPhone, I’ve yet to take a picture that needed immediate display to my Facebook friends. Besides, isn’t that what MMS is for? Chime in on the comments below.
Also, if you’re an avid mobile photographer, then why don’t you use something like Nokia’s N8? It’s got a much better camera than the iPhone, has a Xenon flash so you can use it at night time when you’re at that dive bar watching your friend’s band play to an empty crowd, and it even supports T-Mobile’s 3G network so you can dump AT&T and their terrible coverage plus limited data plans. Video from the N8 is 720p, just like the iPhone 4, but thanks to the use of a higher bitrate, plus a rear facing microphone, the quality is simply astounding. Don’t take my word for it, watch the latest episode of The Phones Show, shot and edited by Steve Litchfield, for a demo at just how right Nokia got the N8.
See, I’m praising a Nokia product for once, now can you get off my back?
