Parrot new products

We’ve already covered Parrot’s Party Bluetooth speakers and DF7700 MMS digital photo frame in the past. At the CTIA, Parrot announced a bit improved versions of each of the devices.

First goes the Party. The Bluetooth speakers are now available in black and like the original version, also feature a built-in Class-D amplifier, two drivers with a total power output of six watts and “exclusive audio effects developed by Parrot.” However, the Black Edition Party is better in that sense that it’s coming with an extended battery, which makes the device working for up to eight hours, twice as long as with the original Party. Parrot PARTY Black Edition will be available in Q3 2008 for $139.99.

As for the “global” version of the DF7700 MMS photo frame, I’m not sure there’s a difference from the original device. Apparently, it now supports all networks around the world, even though it’s available in France only. I guess Parrot wanted to inform us they are negotiating with U.S. carriers. The DF7700 requires a SIM card, hence they’re probably talking to T-Mobile or AT&T. We’ll see where this goes…
