Man punches teen for using iPhone on plane

It’s that time of year when we’re hopping on lots of flights and taking our beloved mobile devices with us. Most of us are familiar with airplane cabin crew announcements reminding us to shut off our cell phones and mobile devices for take off and landing, and I’m assuming most of us comply even though there isn’t a lick of evidence that cell phones interrupt flight controls or communications. However, 68-year-old Russell Miller decided to take matters into his own hands when a 15-year-old kid continued to play games and listen to music on his iPhone when their plane was beginning to land.

Miller was arrested in Boise, Idaho shortly after landing for assaulting the kid and charged with misdemeanor battery.

While I don’t exactly agree with the old man’s decision to hit the kid for something so petty, the kid really should have just gone along with what the flight attendants were requesting. Or maybe his music or game was just so damn loud and engrossing that he missed the announcement altogether.

Another takeaway here is that you shouldn’t mess with or annoy old, bearded white men:
