In case apps like SPB TV are just cutting it for you and you want something that’s closer to the “real thing,” you can grab some of the mobile digital TV receivers. One such product has been announced at CES and it’s coming from Valups, the company that already has a similar offering. The difference between the two products (old one is Wi-Fi Tivizen) is that the new one (Tivizen iUS-100) doesn’t connect with the iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad via WiFi. Rather it uses Apple’s 30-pin connector, thus saving battery life…
Availability wise, the new Tivizen Model iUS-100 will be available in June at a suggested retail price of $99 and requires a free application downloaded from the AppStore to operate. The earlier announced Wi-Fi Tivizen (pictured above) is also expected to be available later this year.
For the record, there are almost 70 broadcasters throughout the United States that are transmitting Mobile DTV as an extension of their digital TV transmissions that adds the flexibility of mobile reception.
