Rauland-Borg Corporation, a pioneer in the development of Nurse Call solutions, is teaming up with the developer of point-of-care communications software Voalté to enable patient calls from Rauland-Borg’s Responder 5 Nurse Call system to connect directly to the caregiver’s Voalté-enabled iPhone.
Voalté’s unified communications solution enables nurses and clinicians to send and receive presence-based text messages, make voice calls across the hospital VoIP system and receive critical care alarms on the iPhone. As a result of the integration with Responder 5 Nurse Call system, patients will be able to communicate to nurses directly, removing the need for Nurse Call middleware translation, dial-back control and PBX compatibility.
Patient who presses the nurse call button will be directly connected with the caregiver in real time via a phone call to the nurse’s iPhone. Responder 5’s ensures patients that staff members are just a button-push-away; with the ability to answer calls on the go… In other words, this is the iHealthcare in works and we’ve no doubts it will be ported to Android in no time.
